Update

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!! So we as of December 31st are first time home buyers! We have been looking for over a year and finally found a place in a good area for a good price (two huge things when buying a home). We are so excited about it and have been working every spare second this past month. It is planned to be done in about two weeks so I will have to post some before and after pictures....So far we have completely redone the sewer line, plumbing, and electrical. We have torn down walls, made bathrooms bigger, put in a shower in a bathroom where there wasn't one there before, moved the washing machine into the same room as the dryer (that would have not been good walking wet clothes from one room to another), insulated, and so much more! We will have a totally remodeled home by the time we move in!!! So I am so excited and the best part is that we aren't throwing our money away to rent each month anymore! We wouldn't be able to do it without our family and friends help! Its for sure been an adventure!

It has been a while.....

Last little while has been crazy at the Watson home. Hopefully now I will be able update the blog on whats happening more often. Both of us are going to school and working full time so we look forward to the weekends to be together.

We recently had dinner with my family on the Sunday before Halloween. Everyone was there: Mom, Dad, John, Jordan & Kat. It was the usual family Sunday dinner and at my parents house. After dinner we decided to break out good old scrabble and play. My dad was trying to send an email to his cousin that night and would only come in the room on his turn. I kept trying to get him to come back in to play, but he was concentrated on getting his email done. I was running out of room so finally on my next turn this is what I put down (its on the left side of the board):

We then made took a one-z (however you spell it) and used material letters to spell out DA Bears since Brian's family are fans of the Chicago Bears. We took the one-z up to his parents house and said that I had got a new Bears shirt, but didn't think it would fit for a while and showed them. Haha, it has been hard keeping it a secret for as long as we did. We found out we are pregnant on September 23rd and didn't want to tell anyone til we were past a good part of the risk of a miscarriage. After that we wanted to keep it a secret for a while between us and our families until we new for sure it was going to be okay, but since it is my parents first grand child it was really hard to keep it a secret for long. We were cutting out pumpkins with my parents and my dad went and got an image of the computer to carve and wouldn't show Brian and I until it was done and it was a Stork! At first they were going to put it on their porch and see what the neighbors say (for those who don't know we live on the same block as my parents and are in the same ward as where I grew up in so we are pretty close with the neighbors). We decided rather than have it there at my parents house, to put it on our porch to let the news out. My parents told the neighbors to go see our pumpkins and that we had a "puzzle". It was a fun way to tlel everyone that we are expecting. Here are pictures of our pumpkins:

We are so exicted for this news and can't wait to find out whether it is going to be a boy or a girl. We are due May 19th, 2010!

Brian's Mission Buddies

A family from Brian's mission was in town and they got the guys(elders) from the mission together for ice cream. It was fun to see them together, we need to get them together more often! Sister V. as the guys call her was their mission mom. She always was watching over them and giving the moms back home info on how their sons were doing. They are such a great family and it was fun to see them while they were in town!

Alpine Slide

Haha so we decided to take a little trip up to Park City after work and go down the alpine slide. It was fun to have a little get a way from the usual and go have some fun! Here are a couple of pictures. When I got close to the end a ground hog came out of its hole, right next to my slide and almost ran across my slide.....yes it made me scream, cause I wouldn't want to hit the little guy, not that screaming helps, it just scared me...haha it was a fun date!

Summer is over.....

School starts this next week and so we are trying to gear up for it. I wish summer where school was only for three months and summer was for the rest of the year. It is my favorite time of year and it pretty much done. Here are somethings we have been doing lately to take full advantage of the summertime!

Brian is teaching me how to golf....I may not be the best student but I did get out of a sand trap on the first swing with flying colors! I got with in a yard of the hole!Mini golfing with the Bements, I pretty much wasted Brian by being 6 strokes ahead not to mention the 3 hole in ones that I had, I guess if your good at real golf your not too good at mini golf.....haha it was my night!
Stake Lagoon Day 2009 we talked my dad into joining us on the sky coaster. It was cool cause they let John and my Dad go at the same time as me and Bri. So we all fell at the same time. The Skycoaster is for sure something you should do if going to lagoon! We also had a sleepover with our niece and nephew Riley and Kayden. We went swimming with them and then watched movies with popcorn. They love playing with our dog Rookie and can't wait for a dog of their own someday! I took this picture while they were watching Sat morning cartoons, yes, all three were watching the cartoons....our dog thinks she's human haha!

THE FRAY

Next to Yellowcard the Fray is one of my favorite bands and we got to go to a sweet outdoor concert with Brian's best friend Kyller and his girl Heather. It was a relaxed concert and it was great to be out on blankets to just hang out and listen to good music. The only down side to the concert was these two girls who stood up the entire time in the grass section right in front of us. Heather was so brave and went down there and asked them if they could sit down and they said that they could do whatever they wanted cause they paid for their tickets.......all I have to say is LAME! Haha it was a great concert minus the two yahoos we had a good time

July Fireworks

Fireworks are something I love and look forward to every year and I try to go see as many shows as possible! They are the best thing about July! We were able to go quite a few times this year and I already can't wait til next year!
Kaden didn't like the loud ones
We both had a kid on our shoulders and I got tired so Brian took both of them on
